Should animals be kept in cages?? I believe not

Should animals be kept in a cage?

I strongly believe that that all animals should not be kept in cages unless they are endangered species like the kiwi bird and the Asian tiger because they are in the need of protection.

Firstly, putting animals in cages is cruel and should not be allowed because putting animals in cages will be taking them away from their natural habitat. By doing that it is separating them from their families and only makes them depressed. They will hate life being locked up. This is cruelty and should stop.

Secondly, the animal’s life will be shorter. It was scientifically proven that animals with a caged life will be shorter. Free animals will live longer because they can roam around freely and exercise all they want. If you lived in a cage you would have no exercise and will die.

Animals like the Asian tiger are endangered which means that now they  have to live in small cages because of the human race and their hunting. When they killed the tigers fewer of them remained and now they have to be kept in cages.

Big make-up manufactures like MAC actually test their make-up on animals before releasing it to the public. That is cruel and it should stop. There are times when an animal gets a facial problem from the testing and there is no correcting it. The people at MAC cosmetics only care about selling their products, not the effect it is going to have on the animals.

In conclusion, animals should have a better life and should not have to live in a cage any longer. They deserve a nice long life outside that horrible cage.

The Pioneer By Fredrick McCubbin

There was once a husband and wife that lived in the Australian bush. They were very sad because they had no children.

One day the wife gave birth to a little baby boy. He was very cute. The parents were very happy to have a child.

The boy worked very hard. He was a tall strong man. Then his parents became sick. He tried everything he could to cure them but they died. So then onwards the boy would go and visit their grave everyday.

Pluto

Pluto is the ninth planet.  Pluto is the smallest plant in space.  It is smaller than our Moon. Pluto has only one moon, Charon.

It is the most distant planet from the Sun.  It takes Pluto 247.68 earth years to orbit around the Sun.  It is 5,906,376,272 away from the Sun.  It is very icy and cold because it is further away from the Sun in our Solar System.

Pluto is a mystery to astronomers because it is so different from both the inner and the outer planets.  It is much smaller than any other planet in the Solar System and made of rock, metal and snow.  Some people say that Pluto was 1 of Neptune’s moons.

Pluto is not consider a plant because it is too small to be one.  Instead it is called a Dwarf plant.

Many astronomers believe there is another planet beyond Pluto, but it has yet to be discovered.

Pluto’s moon is nearly the size of Pluto it’s self. In Roman mythology, Pluto (Greek: Hades) is the god of the underworld.

It’s so far from the Sun that it is in perpetual darkness and perhaps because “PL” is the initials of Percival Lowell.

Pluto is the only plant that has not been visited by a spacecraft. Pluto is the loneliness plant in space.

Doctors

There are many different types of doctors. For example heart, blood, brain and lots more. Elizabeth Blackwell is the first women doctor. Florence Nightingale is the first woman nurse. Dr Michael is my local GP.

The local doctor is known as a general practitioner or G.P. The skin doctor is called a Dermatologist. Doctors are important to our community because they are health care provider who practices the profession of medicine, who is concerned with promoting, maintaining or restoring human health through the study, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, injury and other physical and mental impairments.

A specialist medical practitioner focuses their practice on certain disease categories, types of patients or methods of treatment.

Medical practice requires both a detailed knowledge of the academic disciplines (such as anatomy and physiology) underlying diseases and their treatment, the science of medicine, a decent competence in its applied practice and the art or craft of medicine.

Both the role of the physician and the meaning of the word itself vary around the world, but as generally understood, the ethics of medicine require that physicians show consideration, compassion and benevolence for their patients.

Tropical Rainforests

Tropical rainforests are forests with tall trees, warm climates, and lots of rain. In some rainforests it rains more than one inch nearly every day of the year! Here are some examples of the richness of rainforests. Rainforests have 170,000 of the world’s 250,000 known plant species. The United States has 81 species of frogs, while Madagascar, which is smaller than Texas, may have 500 species. An area of rainforest the size of two football fields (one hectare) may have more than 400 species of trees, while an equal area of forest in the United States may have fewer than 20. Europe has 570 butterfly species, while Manu National Park, a single reserve in Peru, has 1,300 species. There are 4 parts (layers) in the rainforest: the Emergent, Canopy, Understory and lastly the Forest. In the rainforest, there different types of spices such as: the toucan, harrpy eagle, parrot, poison red-eye tree frog, tigers, and gorillas.  Life in Rainforests is very harsh. It is gruelling a lot in summer if it goes up to 40’C. It is also hard because animals lose its home everyday.

My all children should have to play sport writing

Children are all different. They prefer different things. Some kids like to play sport but others do not.

Sport is good for kids because if you want to be fit it is essential. It helps with brain development which is vital for school.

Sport is dangerous because you could get injured. Also some people don’t like sport.

Overall I think that it is not vital that kids should play sport. Kids should have a choice whether or not they should play sport.

Richmond Footy Clinic

On Wednesday the 20th March we went to a Richmond Football Clinic. The Richmond players who came were Dustin Martin, Daniel Jackson and Aaron Edwards. They showed us lots of skills. Some of the skills were hand balling, bouncing the football, kicking goals and races.

National Simultaneous Storytime

On Wednesday 22nd of May we celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime. It was a day full of wrong things!!!!

Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. This year the book chosen is The Wrong Book by Nick Bland. Every school inAustraliaread The Wrong Book at 11:00 am.

In this picture story book Nicholas Ickle is trying to tell a story, but he keeps getting interrupted by characters from other stories-a pirate, a queen, even some monsters! To get a chance to tell his story, he has to convince the others that they are in the wrong book.

We all dressed up as wrong things such as wearing clothes inside out and back to front. Lots of people wore their pyjamas. All the teachers dressed up and some teachers looked really funny. We all had a great time.
